When a child is suffering, the whole family suffers.
Often you can feel at a loss as a parent. You love your child and want to help them so much, but often it’s hard to know where to even begin. Helplessness and overwhelm can set in to the point where you start to wonder if you are actually able to help at all. Maybe there is a lot on your plate already and you’ve been trying to do the best you can, but it’s just enough. Perhaps your child is starting to show signs of anxiety or depression that you can’t ignore any longer. Maybe they have diagnosis already like ADHD, social anxiety, or Autism.
Parenting is hard
It can be a lonely and frustrating journey. You love your child of course. At the same time, if your child is seriously struggling, you know love is not enough. Maybe you have a lot on your plate already. Perhaps you are struggling with your own mental or physical health. It could be that things have also heated up at work and in your marriage. Perhaps your own trauma history makes it difficult to parent in the way you would like. Or else the whole family is dealing with a recent loss. Sometimes parents and children need real skills to help them cope. And they often need a different set of skills to understand the problem and prevent it from happening again. We help you and your child with both.
By teaching your child and you to recognize when they get stuck and by learning the tools they need to get unstuck, everyone is freed. You start to feel both relief and a sense of hope again.
Being a Kid is also not easy
When kids express difficult behaviors like whining, crying, acting out, tantrums or simply withdrawing, it’s often a sign that something is need of attention. Perhaps your child is failing at school in some way. Maybe they are not able to make friends, or not able to keep them. Big emotions like anger, fear or sadness might be at play either at home or school. Perhaps a teacher, friend or family member has also noticed and expressed some concern.
Hope for families
There is no such thing as a kid without a family. And a strong family foundation is essential for the mental health and well-being of everyone. We’ve helped 1,000’s of families learn ways to overcome anxiety, depression, loss, anger and trauma. By teaching your child and you to recognize when they get stuck and by learning the tools they need to get unstuck, everyone is freed. Everyone starts to feel both relief and a sense of hope again. We work closely with you towards short-term, practical solutions to restore mental, emotional and physical stability for the child. And also in your family.
Our Approach
We know your time is valuable and you and your child need relief fast. That’s why our practical, creative approach is designed to work efficiently and deeply. We use the therapeutic power of expressive arts, interpersonal neuro-biology and child development to achieve results. This means unlocking solutions that may have been hidden. It also means uncovering strengths and improving your child’s ability to self-regulate and to co-regulate with you. When your child can self-regulate and co-regulate with others, often their mental, emotional and physical functioning is improved. They can heal and build stronger relationships. We will be with you and your child every step of the way to support their journey to mental wellness.
Our goal is to the heart of the matter for your child and your family. At the same times, we won’t offer quick-fix gimmicky solutions. Those don’t work in the long run. What works is an integrative approach that supports the relationship between you and your child. And also allows it to grow in positive ways. So that they can live up to their potential and you can feel hopeful again as a parent. If the relationship between you and your child is difficult at times, we get it. That is why we partner with you to restore the parent-child bond. The result is more confidence for you child and for you as a parent. It’s time to renew the peace and joy in your home again.
Restore peace and joy in your home.
