As a person who spends a majority of their time listening to, seeing, supporting and nurturing others in their life you may long for time when you yourself can be seen. You long to have your own strong, clear voice cherished and celebrated.
You know you were put on this earth for some higher purpose, you’re just not sure what that is, or how to go about doing it.
The Challenge and the Call:
Perhaps you’ve been encouraged to be something you are not. Maybe homophobia and/or trans-phobia combined with other traumas have left lasting scares that still make you doubt yourself. You’re sick and tired of having to defend yourself all the time, explain your pronouns or orientation and constantly deal with clueless and insensitive people . Sometimes it all feels hopeless.
You’ve fantasized about making a bold move, and embracing your authentic self but it all feels too risky. Maybe a major change has occurred in your life already. A major health crisis, the loss of an important relationship, or perhaps the start of a new one.
You may be a parent at the end of your rope, part of a couple that is struggling to find trust again, newly single, or in a job that is suffocating you. Perhaps your kids have finally left the nest, or are starting school. Your life as you know it has been shaken up. You simply cannot go on any longer running around on auto pilot…doing what is expected of you, holding your breath with a tight smile on your face. You are taking it as a sign that something has got to change. You are ready to feel alive again.
The Great Turning:
Many people reach a point in life where they feel their life as they know it has gotten too small for them, and they are called to express the fullness of who they are in their relationships and in the world.
It is absolutely possible to feel wildly uninhibited and expansive in your life without having to give up life as you know it, or suffer tremendously.
The Guide: a 4-step Process:
It is possible to feel this alive and connected again. I will create a customized 4 step plan to guide you through this process. These 4 steps include:
- Create a Circle of Safety
- Start with the body.
- Hunt for Goodness in the Most Unlikely Places.
- Return to the Greater World of Relationships
People come to me saying that they long to be free and expansive in their life but often feel weighed down by trauma, relationships and responsibility. But as I talk to them further, what emerges is that they have a creative side that has collapsed under pressure, and they may feel that life has stripped them of their voice and its full expression. So what I do is help people find their voice, and throw open the rusty 300-pound door that may have been holding them back so that they can feel wildly inhibited in their expression and alive with possibility in their life again.
You can wake up dancing and excited about the new changes you are making in your life.
